picture heavy.

this was dubai! i had a great time! i worked with great people and i learnt quite alot..this trip was kinda sudden but hey, it’s good!

these were taken out the coach about 6.30 in the morning! it was already pretty warm..

this was our lunch destination, China Sea (if youre wondering ‘why chinese?’ for our first meal in the UAE, well, nowhere’s opened on Fridays. it’s prayer day) it’s known in dubai for it’s fish balls apparently, the few colleagues who went earlier tried it and it seems it wasnt too good..this was an EXTREME sign that frances pointed out. tell me, what is Fish Sound?

and this was the weird looking viennese sausage i had for dinner at the jwmarriott with the other TMs, yes, it attracted ALOT of attention and yeah…roight..

i roomed with nicole..

this is the view from our room..yes, dubai is DEVELOPING.

and this is the entrance of the grand milenium hotel..

and this was day2. we went walking around since we had about 3 hours to spare..this is in the vicinity of the gold and spice souks (marketplaces). dont you think it’s an informative but perhaps needlessly complicated sign? it’s informative to the uninformed though..hahha, we’ve taken crossing the road so much for granted, we forget some people dont know what it means.

and this shop’s name makes you think what it actually sells…

we stopped by a watch shop to get directions…

and this is the nut&chocolate shop we spent an HOUR in just to order chocodates for people..yes, it’s really nice..an almond in a date, covered in chocolate..=) it’s a local specialty!

and fag is RATHER cheap in the UAE, 1 DHS (dirham) = S$2.30

=)

and this was the desert trip…

the rest of the people went sand-dune-bashing. we took a shorter route to the campsite: this included some sandbashing. i was so excited and it was SO fun! omg..the clients were RATHER unexciting and i felt abit weird going “oh yeah…again again!” but i couldnt understand how they weren’t thrilled. so i dint care and continued being excited… :D

shisha!

falcons

and part of the welcoming folk..

need i say more, they were very good!

this was NOT organized by us but some people took credit for it. eww please. and it lasted ten minutes. like nicer than our national day please. it was actually some other party having a function..see what happens when your country’s oil-rich? having a birthday party: daddy, can i have fireworks? SURE!

and this was half the amount of sand that came out my shoes. like a frikkin sandstorm please.

me at the hospi desk at marriott

and this was quite funny! nicole and i decided it was weird cos this brand of water didnt seem to quench our thirst…

hello! L-R: nicole, frances, audrey, teddy. at the hamarain mall connected to the marriott. the lasagne was good!

this is the dubai airport waiting for departure.
